Life Coaching
“We don’t develop courage by being happy every day. We develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity.”
Barbara De Angelis
Facts about Life Coaching
It is not surprising that people are struggling to find new ways of learning that will reflect the varied and complex demands of modern society. Recent years have witnessed the emergence of coaching services alongside the more traditional training methods. Life coaching is a great way to find more success, satisfaction and sheer fun.
As the old wisdom states:
‘Lifelong learning means self-directed growth. It means understanding yourself and the world. It means acquiring new skills and powers, the only true wealth you can never lose. It means investment in yourself.’
Life is demanding from us a much broader set of skills if we are to survive in the modern world. The pace of change partly driven by the advances in information technology and the pervading influence of globalisation has become relentless.
The skills and knowledge that were sufficient even 30 years ago are now proving to be inadequate.
Our Life Coaching Approach
I will help you work out where you want to go with your life and how to get there. I trust I was walking a life path similar to the one on which you are embarking; therefore the knowledge and experiences transmitted in this way will contain invaluable details about values, beliefs and culture and are hard to acquire in another way. As your coach, I will be there for you regularly to listen, provide feedback and tools, and to guide you until you know, that you are on track to achieve your most meaningful goals and aspirations in your unique way. Having a skilled expert in your corner can make a big difference whether you want to make changes in your relationships, health, or gain a sense of purpose or peace of mind.
I believe a crucial ingredient of happiness is PROGRES. Imagine being able to maximise your opportunities to make every day a beautiful experience and a day to enjoy, rather than stressing out and not doing what you need to do. Not doing what you need to do is the cause of most anxiety, which may gradually develop depression.
It is worth remembering that rather than being one-sided, the best coaching relationships are shared. You don’t simply turn up once a fortnight (or however often) and listen to some words of wisdom that will change your life forever. Both participants must play an active part. However, the emphasis is on you. I will set tasks and objectives for you to tackle them before each meeting. It is then up to you to complete them, reflect upon them and try to apply them in practice. If there is no input, I might decide to terminate the relationship

What You Can Expect from Life Coaching
For the success of coaching the personal relationship is the single most important factor and you are more likely to walk away from and give up unless there is total trust, openness and commitment to confidentiality, therefore at the initial meeting we will or not established our relationship.
You will also understand whether or not you are ready for change. Perhaps a partner or parent has suggested you need help. You might even think that you are serious about creating a new reality for yourselves. However, you are still in a phase where you are thinking about change, rather than being ready to leap.
You will have an opportunity to experience what it is like to be coached and to share your story.
During this insightful and inspiring session, you will find out how coaching can help you in particular. The main aim of this initial consultation is determining how you are tracking in the crucial areas of your life, discuss your needs and goals and answer all your questions.
Then we will tailor a plan of action, which is SMART (specific, measurable, realistic and time framed), which will ultimately help you attain your goals.
If you choose to proceed you will book a series of sessions (usually 5 then a review session) which are 1 hour each. At the review session we will determine a progress and at that point you might like to go away OR set new goals from the new perspective that you are seeing your life through. Setting new goals from a new perspective is amazing. You will find it hard to look back and see the ‘old you’.
